Mazanec - traditional Czech festive pastry that is an integral part of Easter. It´s used to be baked on White Saturday and ended on Easter Eve. The word "mazanec" is probably derived from the word "pomazany/anointed", because the housewives had consecrated it in the church by the so-called "holy anointing."
